Linear Scale Slide Type
Linear scale slide types, on the other hand, consist of a scale mounted on a slide or carriage that moves along a track.

Linear scale slide types are commonly used in applications where the measuring component needs to move along a guided path, such as in CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines, milling machines, and other automated systems.
